Is it all but a dream?

NOW HERE SHE WAS IN LONDON, not a clue as to where this hotel she was supposed to stay at was and a perplexed expression over her face, her lips twisted into a grimace of a sort. It was true that she had wanted to come here, heck, it had been her lifelong dream to come to London, England and now she was right where she felt she belonged! Except there was one little thing that was not as she had expected it to be. She didn't belong, at all. She had no idea how to function properly in this strange city with all of it's strange names for things and strange people. Sure, it was all very lovely, but... confusing and somewhat intimidating. Lorraine took a small and quite rumpled piece of notepaper from the breast pocket of her polka-dotted orange and white dress (which she had been fitted for and had purchased specially for the occasion of arriving here) and raised it up into her view. She stood there for a few moments, studying it intently, her eyes darting to and fro across the scribbled writing on it until she was finished with what it had to offer and found herself thrusting it back into her pocket, well, a different pocket, but still, it belonged to her and so technically it was her pocket whether or not it was the same one as the paper had been stored away in before. My goodness, she was rather nervous and out of sorts today! That was for sure! Lor focused on getting herself back into a better mood, making her way down the pavement, her long, wavy hair flowing freely around her face and in back of her. She focused on the fact she was in the beautiful city had always dreamed of, since she had been a little girl in the backyard with her best friend James. Oh... her dearest James... bless him. Both of them had wanted to come here so bad those years back. She mentally gave him a hug and danced around the streets with him like she would've done if he had been here, while in reality it was only her soft blue gaze taking those graceful, joyful steps. | ## 374 |
