That means no sexist, racist, or otherwise rude comments to anybody on the board (out of character of course). This is by far one of the worst offenses, and will result in immediate expulsion. In character, we understand that not everybody will get along. Out of character, it is forbidden![/li] [li style="text-align:justify;"]This roleplay is based around an era. It is not required that you be a band member, a canon, or even a hippie but keep in mind, it will be easier for you to understand if you have at least looked up some of the canons here (Beatles, Rolling Stones, etc). Check out youtube, ITunes, or even Wikipedia to check out a few of them. [/li] [li style="text-align:justify;"]Power Playing and God Modding (click here to learn what they are) are not appreciated here and if you are going to roleplay like such then please do not roleplay on any of our boards. We are a realistic human roleplaying forum and this is not us being strict, but us being true to our setting. Nobody wants to roleplay with a perfect character! [/li][li style="text-align:justify;"]If you are going to be absent on your account(s) for any period of time longer than a week, please post a thread on our Goodbyes board. If you do not then we shall be apt to remove your account(s) from GETTING BETTER due to your inactivity without warning. My apologies, but we simply cannot have a bunch of unused accounts lying about.
[/li][li style="text-align:justify;"]Please refrain from roleplaying any sexually explicit scenes on our boards (and keep the cursing to a minimum, although it is permitted in small amounts). We are rated PG-13 and playing out such things here could get you and our forum into a large amount of trouble. If you really feel you must then do take it into Private Messages or an instant messaging system (assuming you are mature). In your threads when such things come up fade to black and then skip to afterwards when the characters are waking up and/or cuddling.
[/li][li style="text-align:justify;"] As far as posting goes, please make sure there are no one-liners. Despite being extremely aggravating for your fellow players, and relatively impossible for someone to advance the plot using a single sentence, a puppy may die every time a one-liner is posted. Think of the puppies. Please aim for a descriptive post. Though we prefer more, for all intensive purposes, the word count is 350. 
[/li][li style="text-align:justify;"]Just so we’re clear, we are not our characters. To show that you know that, please only use third person limited as your point of view. For those of you who are confused as to what that means, please. Look it up before continuing. I’ll wait. [/li][/ul]

• I am not a member of the grammar police, but I would appreciate a best-pitched effort. If you use “internet speak”, you will open yourself up to rude comments from the other people, and shall notice that people may just stop interacting with you, or your character. Don’t force it upon yourself. If it gets really bad, I will ask that you leave until you have learned the English language. 

• More about characters: there is a list of canons available that are taken directly from the time period. Make sure that at the bottom of your application you write "Act Naturally" regardless of who you choose. That will be how we know that you read these rules.
  

• Yes, you can play more than one character. However, it is required that you make a separate account for each character that you wish to play. That way, nobody gets confused, and it actually appears as if we've got the amount of characters on here that we have. It’s a win-win, really. 
  

• When filling out your application please fill out EVERYTHING. That includes a role-play sample no matter how long you've been around. It doesn't have to be new (or written about that particular character even), it just has to be there. 

• Avatars must be linked and be sized precisely 220x350px.
